Brenda K. Whitehead is a board-certified experienced family lawyer and has years of experience in civil and personal injury law. Ms. Whitehead has been practicing as a solo practitioner in Harris, Galveston, Fort Bend, Montgomery and Brazoria County, Texas since 1984, when she graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. She is board certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and also has a long history of practice in civil and personal injury law. Ms. Whitehead is a Certified Mediator and has mediated Family and Civil Law cases since 1992. She recently received her training in Collaborative Law.
Ms. Whitehead was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee but has lived most of her adult life in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Memphis before transferring to the University of Houston. She received two Bachelor of Art degrees from the University of Houston, in both philosophy and sociology before enrolling at South Texas College of Law.
In her professional career, Ms. Whitehead has served as President of the Association of Women Attorneys and has co-founded and served as Chair of the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation which provides scholarships to women law students. She is also a member of the Houston Federation of Professional Women and has served as Dean of the Houston Alumni Senate of Delta Theta Phi Fraternity.
